8-241 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Part number VBU90241 is an AS568-241 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.859 in (98.02 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.137 in (105.08 mm). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) delivers very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
