8-254 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90254 is an AS568-254 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 5.484 in (139.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.762 in (146.35 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

The compound resists chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, aerospace, and oil and gas.
