8-430 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90430 is an AS568-430 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.1 in (129.54 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.65 in (143.51 mm). In service, this back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

The compound resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
