8-434 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90434 is an AS568-434 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.6 in (142.24 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.15 in (156.21 mm). This back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C).
