SB-V70153-2 is an AS568-153 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.487 in (88.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.693 in (93.8 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or hot water and steam are present.
