SB-V70438-2 is an AS568-438 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.225 in (158.12 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.775 in (172.09 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope. Source specification: 0.275CSX6.225"IDX6.775"OD.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.

It sees regular use in oil and gas, semiconductor equipment, and aerospace.
