Part number VQ4006 is an AS568-006 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.114 in (2.9 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.254 in (6.45 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit.
