This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-173 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile supplied with an inside diameter of 8.487 in (215.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.693 in (220.8 mm), catalogued under part number VQ4173. It resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments.
