VQ4241 is an AS568-241 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.859 in (98.02 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.137 in (105.08 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or amines.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, chemical processing, and high-temperature process equipment.
