A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or ketones and esters are present.
