Aflas (TFE/P) is widely chosen for strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and exceptional resistance to amine-based additives. The material holds up against brake fluids and phosphate esters, hot water, and strong bases. Service temperature is rated from -25°F (-31.7°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to low-temperature dynamic service or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
