APG stocks the E70910, an AS568-910 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.755 in (19.18 mm), a cross section of 0.097 in (2.46 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.949 in (24.1 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.
As a material, EPDM (EPR) delivers strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, very good flexibility at low temperature. It resists water and steam, ketones, and ozone, UV and weathering. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons.
You will find this material specified across brake and phosphate ester systems, solar and roofing assemblies, and water and steam systems.
E70910 ships individually. Unit weight is approximately 0.3775 g. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design.
