APG stocks the V70170, an AS568-170 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 7.737 in (196.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.943 in (201.75 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or amines are present.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, aerospace, and oil and gas.
