SH70234 is an AS568-234 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.984 in (75.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.262 in (82.85 mm). In service, this quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists water, greases and lubricants, and propane and butane. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where automotive brake fluid or polar solvents are present.
