The SH70361 is an AS568-361 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.975 in (151.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.395 in (162.43 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

It resists greases and lubricants, propane and butane, and many alcohols. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ozone and direct sunlight or automotive brake fluid call for a different compound.
