568-015 PTFE ORINGS FDA

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-015 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D with an inside diameter of 0.551 in (14 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.691 in (17.55 mm), catalogued under part number TFE015. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE (Teflon) is valued for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and a very wide continuous service temperature range. The compound resists strong acids and bases, steam, and solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals.

It sees regular use in semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical and biotech, and food and beverage.
