APG stocks the TFE115, an AS568-115 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.674 in (17.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.88 in (22.35 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is valued for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. The compound resists steam, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Applications involving molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature call for a different compound.

Typical settings include semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical and biotech, and aggressive-media pipelines.
