568-227 PTFE ORINGS FDA

Ordered as TFE227, this is an AS568-227 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.109 in (53.57 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.387 in (60.63 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against solvents, oxidizing media, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and near-universal chemical inertness. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.
