-127 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70127 is an AS568-127 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.424 in (36.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.63 in (41.4 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified here for physiological inertness and low toxicity, excellent electrical insulating properties. The material holds up against ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and extreme heat and cold. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving abrasive dynamic service or steam above its rated range call for a different compound.
