-259 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-259 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 6.234 in (158.34 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.512 in (165.4 mm), catalogued under part number E70259. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, water and steam, and ketones. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels will shorten service life.
