-331 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

Ordered as E70331, this is an AS568-331 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.225 in (56.52 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.645 in (67.18 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to ketones, dilute acids and alkalis, and ozone, UV and weathering. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. Exposure to mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels will shorten service life.

Typical settings include outdoor equipment, brake and phosphate ester systems, and solar and roofing assemblies.
