568-224 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80224 is an AS568-224 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.734 in (44.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.012 in (51.1 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists steam, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.
